Raai Laxmi from the
Telugu
dubbed version of Kollywood’s snake-thriller ‘Neeya 2’ is out. Titled
‘Nagakanya’
, the L Suresh directorial also stars Jai and
Catherine Tresa in lead roles. While there is no clarity on the release date of the Telugu film, the theatrical
trailer
of the original version looked promising with a riveting tale blended with thrilling elements like romance, horror, mystery and snakes.
Rather than settling as a mainstream heroine, Varalakshmi chose the hard way and proved herself as a complete actress. After portraying the antagonist in successive films like ‘Pandem Kodi 2’ and ‘Sarkar’, the 33-year-old super-talented diva is all set to make her debut in Tollywood. She will be essaying a pivotal role in ‘Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL’ starring Sundeep Kishan and
Hansika Motwani.
On the other side, Raai Laxmi is a popular name in the Telugu states courtesy her scintillating screen-presence and alluring dance moves. After shaking her belly in ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ and ‘Khaidi No. 150’, the 29-year-old bombshell is playing the titular role of a hot school teacher in her upcoming Telugu film titled ‘Where Is The Venkatalakshmi’.
'Neeya 2'
is not a sequel to Kamal Hassan’s 1979 film 'Neeya?' but will share some similarities with the core plot.
