On Thursday, 'Duvvada Jagannadham', which went on to emerge as a superhit, completed 5 years. Director Harish S Shankar took to Twitter and thanked Allu Arjun for delivering an outstanding performance in the film. He also met the Pushpa star on the occasion and clicked a selfie with him.
Taking to Twitter Harish Shankar wrote, ''Seeti maar to 5 years of DJ… Thank you ICON STAAR @alluarjun for the lifetime memories which I'll cherish forever… and congratulations to my besties @hegdepooja @ThisIsDSP @DoP_Bose Last but not least my favt @SVC_official.''
The film starred Pooja Hegde as the female lead with Rao Ramesh, Subbaraju, Chandra Mohan, Murali Sharma, Posani Krishna Murali, Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, and others forming the supporting cast. The technical crew of the film included editor Chota K Prasad, cinematographer Ayananka Bose, music director Devi Sri Prasad and lyricists Jonnavittula Ramalingeswara Rao, Sahithi, Sri Mani, Balaji and Bhaskarabhatla Ravi Kumar. The movie was released on June 13, 2017, and went on to become one of the highest-grossing Bollywood movies at the box office that year.
On the work front, Allu Arjun will begin the shoot of 'Pushpa: The Rule' in August. The team is currently busy with pre-production work. Directed by Sukumar, the film will star Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady. It will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.
