'Peddhkapu 1' introduces Pragathi Srivastava as the leading lady and opens with a rustic rural backdrop. The film also features talented actors like Rao Ramesh, Rajeev Kanakala, and Anasuya Bharadwaj. Surprisingly, director Srikanth Addala takes on the role of the antagonist in this venture. As the film premiered on September 29, audiences who attended early screenings were quick to share their opinions on social media platforms.

Initial reactions to the film were far from positive, with several viewers expressing their disappointment. One netizen stated, "It took an hour to get into the story. Bad writing. Not good at all. There was no clarity about what they wanted to say. Zero emotion. The movie was not good at all. I felt like leaving the theater. It is not the signature of a common man but the quality of glasses. The worst movie of all the worst movies. I was fooled by the promotions. My fault."

Another viewer commented, "Peddhakapu 1 first off was bad. TDP gave them goosebumps and gave them biscuits." Yet another discouraged viewer added, "The madness of the mirror groove has not died down yet. Try to stay away as much as possible."

'Peddhakapu 1' was intended to be a rural drama with a rustic setting, but it struggled to captivate audiences. Many complained about the poor screenplay, disconnected emotions, and lack of clarity in the storyline. While some technical aspects and certain performances received praise, overall, the film failed to deliver the heartfelt family experience that Srikanth Addala is known for. Some viewers even found certain parts of the movie boring.
