Pawan Kalyan hails Chiranjeevi's legacy at 'Game Changer' event; Says, 'Our roots trace back to Mogalthur,'

The pre-release event for the much-anticipated film 'Game Changer', featuring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, took place in Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh. The event was highlighted by a powerful speech from Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, who expressed his gratitude to Ram Charan's father, the legendary actor Chiranjeevi, for his influence on his own career.

During his speech, Pawan Kalyan spoke about the importance of Chiranjeevi in shaping the careers of many in the film industry, including himself and Ram Charan. He acknowledged that their successes are deeply rooted in their heritage from Mogalthur, a small village associated with Chiranjeevi. He said, "You may call us game changers or OGs, but our roots trace back to a small remote village called Mogalthur."

Kalyan further paid tribute to other icons of Telugu cinema, such as Raghupathi Venkaiah and Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.

Ram Charan later shared photos from the event on social media, expressing his respect for Pawan Kalyan as both a family member and a public figure. He thanked Kalyan for his unwavering support throughout his career. On X (formerly Twitter) he wrote, "Dear Deputy Chief Minister @PawanKalyan Garu, as your nephew, as an actor, and a proud Indian, I immensely respect you. Thank you for always being there for me and supporting me."

Directed by Shankar, 'Game Changer' is set to release in theatres on January 10, 2025. The film is described as a political action thriller where Ram Charan plays dual roles: an IAS officer named Ram Nandan and his father Appanna.

The story revolves around themes of corruption and justice as Ram Nandan strives to fulfill his father's dream of a corruption-free society while facing off against a corrupt chief minister portrayed by SJ Suryah.
