Pawan Kalyan asked to remove objectifying lyrics from item song in 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1'; MM Keeravani praises his conviction
Actor and politician Pawan Kalyan is gearing up for the release of his next movie, 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit'. Music composer MM Keeravani has now shared a unique detail about Pawan, who requested the musician to remove a few words that sounded sensitive in one of the songs in the film.
MM Keeravani about Pawan's request
During the recent press meet for the film, Oscar-winning composer Keeravani revealed that Pawan Kalyan asked for changes to the lyrics of an item song to ensure they did not promote objectification.
“There is an item song in this film titled ‘Tara Tara’. As you know, compared to romantic numbers, item songs tend to have more objectifying lyrics. We had some lyrics written for this song as well. After listening to them, Pawan Kalyan said, ‘No, I’m in a more responsible position now. Please remove these lyrics and rewrite them.’ That’s a reflection of his conviction and sense of responsibility.”

Hari Hara Veera Mallu release
'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' is finally slated for release on June 12 2025. The movie faced numerous postponements due to various reasons.
Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and AM Jyothi Krishna, the film is a historical action drama set during the 17th-century Mughal empire. In a gesture of camaraderie, Pawan Kalyan recently visited Keeravani at his home to personally congratulate him on the composition of the film’s third single, Asura Hananam.
The movie also features Bobby Deol, Sathyaraj, Nidhii Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, Nora Fatehi, Dalip Tahil, and Jisshu Sengupta in key roles.
