Parvathy Omanakuttan to debut in Tollywood

The list of former Miss India���s who are acting in Tollywood films, just got longer. The latest addition to the ever-growing list is Parvathy Omanakuttan, who was crowned Miss India in 2008. It is reliably learnt that the dusky actress,who recently starred in the Hindi version of Tamil film Pizza, has been roped in to play the lead in a Telugu film to be directed by debutant Anand Ravi.
A source close to the unit says, ���Parvathy was finalised as the leading lady in the female-centric film. The makers were impressed with her performance in a Tamil film and believed that she could perfectly fit the role. The director is currently making final adjustments to the script.��� The filmmakers are currently on the lookout for a male lead for the movie touted to be a family drama. ���Parvathy will be playing a newly-wed in movie,��� adds the source.
In an earlier interview, the actress admitted to having a ���special connection��� with Hyderabad. ���Hyderabad is very close to my heart. My major step into the fashion world started in the city, where I first won my major pageant title, Miss India South (2008).���
