When director Mallik Ram offered Pallavi Subash the role of Ashima Roy, in the Telugu remake of Ayusshman Khurana���s hit,

, she said yes ���in a heartbeat���. ���I loved the movie in Hindi. More so, the character of Yami Gautam in it. When I was offered the same character I was really happy to take it up,��� quips the damsel, who will star opposite Sumanth in the flick.

Having acted in popular TV shows and in Marathi films, Pallavi says, ���Acting is life. I started out as a theatre artiste, then ventured into modelling and then TV and films simultaneously. I have been very fortunate.���

Ask her about her experience acting in a Telugu movie for the first time, she says, ���The only challenge for me was the language. Since I come from a theatre background, I always rehearse my lines before shooting. Now, I don���t understand most of my dialogues. So the challenge is to make up for the dialogue delivery and diction with getting the emotion right.���
But there was one person who ensured that she was comfortable on the sets of her debut Telugu venture ��� her co-star, Sumanth. ���He���s a true gentleman. He not only helped me with my lines but also kept checking on me ��� to see if I was comfortable, if I ate and so on.���
