The movie,
Bhanumathi Ramakrishna is all set for an OTT release and the trailer of the film has caused quite a stir among fans who are looking forward to its release.
Starring
Naveen Chandra and Salony Luthra, it is a unique love story of two people who are in their thirties. Actress
Salony Luthra who plays the role of Bhanumathi in the film revealed some interesting facts about her character in a candid chat with Hyderabad Times.
"Bhanumathi Ramakrishna is all about breaking stereotypes. The character of Bhanumathi resembles every independent urban woman who has set some goals for herself. Society labels this 30-year-old woman as irresponsible onlybecause she refuses to get married. But Bhanumathi believes that the age of 30 is not the end of a woman's life and she can still fall in love even after that age. Her choices make many people question her but she has to face the consequences alone. Every woman who prioritises herself over the judgements of others will be able to relate to this character. From being heartbroken to falling in love all over again, 30-year-old Bhanumathi is no less than 20-year college-going girl. I am sure the character is going to be loved by everyone,” said Salony.
With the need for more OTT-appropriate content, Telugu writers are being compelled to write stronger women characters. "Women characters in commercial movies are like glamorous dolls who are present only for entertainment purposes. OTTs are more accepting of unusual content so they provide a good space for movies like Bhanumathi Ramakrishna. It is extremely important to tell the stories of independent women who make their choices on their own. They are equally capable of building a strongprotective wall around them without support from men. I very much believe such stories will be watched by entire family and I feel lucky that this movie is coming out at such a time where people prefer being home. OTTs are truly going to be game-changers.” She rounded off.
Actor Naveen Chandra who acted in movies like Evaru and Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava is playing the role of Rama Krishna in this movie. The movie is all set to be out at Aha on July 3.
