is proceeding at a rapid pace in
Kerala and the ongoing schedule is expected to continue till April 20. Director
Jeethu Joseph is canning crucial scenes on Venkatesh,
Meena, Kruthika Jayakumar and
Esther Anil in the picturesque locations of “God’s own country.” On Friday, the makers have celebrated the birthdays of art director Rajeev Nayar and Venky’s personal makeup man Raghava on the sets of the film. Pictures from the cake-cutting session are doing the rounds on the internet.
Before heading to Kerala, the team of ‘Drushyam 2’ have wrapped up a few scenes in Hyderabad involving the principal cast which includes actress Poorna as well. Along with Nadhiya and Naresh Vijaya Krishna, several actors will be reprising their roles from ‘Drushyam’ that released in 2014. Meanwhile, it’s already evident that ‘Drushyam 2’ is the Telugu remake of recent Malayalam superhit film ‘
Drishyam 2
.’
Skipping its theatrical release, ‘Drishyam 2’ opted for a direct release on OTT and continuing from where the prequel left, the sequel opened to a phenomenal response from the netizens with critical acclaim as well. Powered by top-notch writing, terrific performances and the glorious twists and turns in the final hour, the thriller turned out to be a thoroughly gripping and entertaining sequel which ticked all the right boxes.
On the work front, Venkatesh is also occupied with F3 starring Varun Tej, Tamannaah and Mehreen in lead roles. The veteran hero has wrapped up shooting for ‘Narappa’, the Telugu remake of ‘Asuran’ and the rustic-actioner is gearing up for a release on May 14.
