Nithya Menon to play a mom

Most young actresses are scared of playing one role: That of a mother. But, actress Nithya Menon has sprang a surprise by accepting such a role in her forthcoming movie in Telugu. Sources say that the Malayali beauty, who has carved a niche for herself in all the South Indian languages, will be soon seen in the role of a mom, in her forthcoming film, directed by Kranthi Madhav of Onamalu fame.While Nithya will be seen as a mom, Tejaswi Madivada, who essayed the title role in Ice Cream, will be playing her daughter.
���When Nithya heard the script, she felt very tickled and got interested and expressed her enthusiasm for doing such experimental roles. The actress, who always looks for novelty and challenges, felt that such opportunities come rarely and immediately okayed the project,��� says a source close to the unit.
Nithya is paired opposite Sharwanand in the musical-romantic drama, and this is the second time both the actors are sharing screen space after Emito Ee Maaya. Sharwanand is reportedly essaying the role of a sportsman in the movie.
