Nithya Menen opens up about facing body-shaming

and now, the web-series, Breathe: Into the Shadows, season 2 of Breathe. During interviews to promote the

series

, the actress recently spoke about everything from how she would never utter

sexist

dialogues in films to how she deals with body-shaming.

Talking about body-shaming and how it bothered her, Nithya told a web-portal how those who criticise have usually never done as much as she has and how they don’t realise that someone’s weight might be different than theirs due to various other factors than just lifestyle. She also stated that she believes in not blowing up such personal problems or give interviews about them. It’s something she deals with personally and irrespective of it all, she has always given good content.

The actress was last seen in Telugu in Janatha Garage in 2016 and

Awe

in 2018. In 2019, she played a cameo as Savitri in NTR: Kathanayakudu, the NTR biopic. Nithya has acted in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam films since then. Season two of Breathe will be her foray into the

digital

medium, where she’s seen playing the role of a worried mother whose child goes missing. Her co-star in the series is Abhishek Bachchan and the series will stream from July 10.
