Nithiin begins shoot for the Telugu remake of Andhadun in Dubai with Nabha Natesh

After wrapping up the shooting schedule of Keerthy Suresh starrer Rang De in Dubai, Nithiin has finally begun shooting for his 30th film in Dubai, the Telugu remake of Sriram Raghavan’s Andhadhun that stars Nabha Natesh and Tamannaah. The Bheeshma actor took to social media to make the announcement and wrote, “#Nithiin30 shooting starts"(sic). Though Nabha Natesh has already joined Nithiin, Tamannaah is expected to get on board in January.

After a lot of speculation and buzz, the female leads were cast putting an end to all the rumours. While Tamannaah will essay the role of Tabu, Nabha Natesh will play Radhika Apte’s character from the original. Earlier, the makers posted an announcement about the cast that read, “Hero Nithin's new film under the direction of Merlapaka Gandhi, an official remake of Hindi super hit film Andhadhun, will start rolling soon. Tamannaah Bhatia and Nabha Natesh are finalised. Tabu won critical acclaim, besides securing several awards including the Filmfare award. Now, Tamannaah accepts the challenge to play the role with lots of shades. Every character in the film has equal importance and Nabha Natesh is happy to play the leading lady. And Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy will produce the film under Sreshth movies as production no 6 from the banner. Tagore Madhu will present the flick. Mahati Swara Sagar will render tunes while Hari K Vedanth cranks the camera for the film. Other artists and technicians will be announced soon.”

The original Andhadhun that won the National Award was directed by Sriram Raghavan with Ayushmann Khurana playing the lead protagonist. The thriller revolves around a blind pianist and what happens when he gets entangled in a murder
