Hemant Madhukar’s multi-starrer thriller Nishabdham released on Amazon Prime and began streaming from October 2. TG Vishwa Prasad, who produced the film with Vivek Kuchibhotla under People Media Factory, is on cloud-nine about the response the film has gotten. “I live in the US and a lot of my friends here have shared positive feedback after watching the film. We’ve also gotten a tremendous response from movie lovers in India.
People have been waiting eagerly since April for Nishabdham to release and I’m glad the audience feel that the wait has been worth it,” says Vishwa, excitedly.
Dubbing Nishabdham as the ‘perfect blend between Indian cinema and Hollywood’, Vishwa says, “Right from the start, we wanted to make a film that would appeal to a global audience, which is why we roped in actors like
Michael Madsen to star alongside
Anushka Shetty, Madhavan,
Shalini Pandey and Anjali. Our crew comprised of both Indian and American actors and technicians, so it was special. I was especially in awe of Michael and the way he delivered his scenes in single takes, despite being unwell. The fact that the film has struck a chord with the global audience shows that we’ve achieved our goal.”
Vishwa Prasad reveals that he has not given up hope of a theatrical release for the film. “In January next year, I want to release the film in theatres in the US, Japan and a few more countries with a limited release in India. I look forward to making at least two to three such global films per year hereon,” he says, signing off.
