Anjali is going great guns in Kollywood with a string of big-ticket films in her kitty. After a gap of two years, the 33-year-old actress is all set for a big return to Telugu cinema with
Nishabdham
. Titled as
Silence
in other languages, the big-budget project is a crossover film featuring acclaimed actors and technicians from Hollywood as well. Starring
Madhavan
and
Anushka Shetty in lead roles, the multilingual film has been mostly shot in
Seattle
.
Besides the lead pair, the Hemant Madhukar directorial features an ensemble star cast like
Michael Madsen, Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju and Srinivasa Avasarala on board. According to sources, Anjali will play a ferocious cop in Nishabham and her role will also have a couple of action sequences which will stand out in the film.
To prep up for the police role, Anjali has lost oodles of weight by hitting the gym on a constant basis and performing rigorous workouts. She has also been researching the body language of US cops.
Bankrolled by People Media Factory In association with Kona Film Corporation, Nishabdham is expected to have a worldwide release on January 24. The pre-teaser was recently launched on the occasion of Diwali.
