Director Anil Ravipudi has earlier confirmed that he is teaming up with Nandamuri Balakrishna for the latter’s 108th film, tentatively called NBK 108. Balakrishna is fresh off from the success of his recently released film, Akhanda, directed by Boyapati Srinu. Anil Ravipudi is considered as the successful Tollywood director without a single failure. The untitled project marks Balakrishna’s first collaboration with 'F3' director Anil Ravipudi. Reports revealed that the film will be officially announced on June 10 to coincide with the birthday of Balayya. A source hints that the movie will be an actioner. It looks like Balayya is set to play a never-seen-before role onscreen. If reports are to be believed, the upcoming film will go on floors this September. However, an official announcement by the makers is awaited yet.

Release date
A source close to the development of the film told media that it will be high on content with ample amount of quirky elements in the screenplay. NBK 108 is going to be the highest budgeted film for Balakrishna. By September end or early October, the film should go on floors. The source also revealed that the film will see a theatrical release in Pongal 2023. However, an official announcement will be made on the occasion of Balakrishna’ birthday.

Top actors and technicians will be part of the film. Devi Sri Prasad has reportedly been approached to compose music for this flick. Reportedly, Tamannaah Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzada have come on board to play the leading ladies opposite Balakrishna in the movie. The makers are looking to lock Tamannaah and Mehreen as the leading actress for the role of love interests to Balayya. The makers have started discussions with the actresses as well and are on the verge to lock a few for the supporting cast.

Producers of 'NBK 108'
'NBK 108' will be jointly bankrolled by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the banner of Shine Screens, who is known for producing hit films like 'Majili' and 'Tuck Jagadish'. It’s a high-budget film, and the producers want to make sure they get good returns. They are looking at the situation and will then decide and make an official announcement. Fans can't wait to witness what the director will bring out the superstar, a masala entertainer is what everyone is expecting after blockbuster success of 'Akhanda.'

Balakrishna-Gopichand Malineni film
Nandamuri Balakrishna is currently busy shooting for director Gopichand Malineni’s upcoming movie, which is tentatively titled 'NBK107'. Actress Shruti Haasan will be seen as the female lead opposite Balakrishna in this movie, while Kannada's renowned actor Duniya Vijay will be seen as the villain. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will play a powerful role as well. S Thaman renders soundtracks, while Rishi Punjabi will handle the cinematography. Acclaimed writer Sai Madhav Burra provides dialogues, while Navin Nooli takes care of editing and AS Prakash is the production designer. Chandu Ravipati is the executive producer. Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar are the producers, while Ram-Laxman are the stunt-choreographers.

Anil Ravipudi's 'F3'
Meanwhile, Anil Ravipudi is gearing up for the release of his next, F3: Fun and Frustration, fronted by Victory Venkatesh and Varun Tej. 'F3' is a sequel to 'F2', and also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, and Mehreen Pirzada, which is billed as a commercial family entertainer. Pooja Hegde will be seen in a special song the movie. 'Pushpa' music director Devi Sri Prasad composes the music. Sai Sriram cranks the camera, while Tammiraju is the editor. Bankrolled by Sri Venkateswara Creations, F3 is scheduled to hit the screens on May 27.
It will be interesting to see if Nandamuri Balakrishna and Anil Ravipudi get the cash registers ringing.
