Nature and us, we're interlinked: Mahesh Babu on World Environment Day

It’s World Environment Day, Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodhkar both took to social media to share their views on the importance of respecting nature.
Mahesh shared a picture by the UN that reads ‘It’s time #ForNature.’ He even quoted Dalai Lama and wrote, “It is our collective and individual responsibility to preserve and tend to the environment in which we all live. - Dalai Lama” (sic) Underlining the importance of creating a healthy ecosystem, he added, “‪Nature and us, we're interlinked. By protecting nature we're protecting ourselves. These challenging times have exposed the vulnerability of human life, for us to survive well, it's important to create a healthy & balanced ecosystem.” (sic)
He urged fans that while it’s important to stay at home, it’s also important to ensure their voices are heard. “While we all stay home safe, let our voices be heard. Let our actions and words be the change. The future of humanity depends on us! Save water, save trees, save electricity, reduce carbon emissions, save forests, save our oceans, save animals! Choose what’s important to you! Start today! Let’s do this together! ‪This #WorldEnvironmentDay, It's time #ForNature.” (sic) he wrote.

Namrata Shirodhkar too urged everyone to ‘be the change (they) wish to see in the world’. Stating how this year has been an eye-opener so far, she wrote, “2020 has been an awakening! It’s our Mother Earth trying hard to reach out to us!! Maybe she’s trying to tell us something! It's time to listen... We need to take care of her a little more... Show her much love, be kind to her children, the seas, the trees, the skies... We need to devote a little time from our everyday lives towards her so she can heal.” (sic)
She also urged fans to bring that change in their lives that will make a difference, just like Mahesh did, “We have to be kind and gentle to her. All the answers lie with us and the way we live!! Bring about the change in this lifetime of ours so that the next few generations reap the benefits along with us! Start with anything that is important to you. Save water! Save electricity! Save trees! Save our forests! Save our animals! It’s up to us to make the change! Be the change! #WorldEnvironmentDay #TimeForNature #SaveTheEarth.” (sic)

On the work-front, Mahesh Babu who was last seen in Anil Ravipudi's Sarileru Neekevvaru with Rashmika Mandanna and Vijayashanthi is now producing Major, which sees Adivi Sesh essay the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. The film, directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, was in the middle of shoot when the pandemic hit. During lockdown, the star spent some quality time with his children Gautam and Sitara, with wifey Namrata sharing all their shenanigans on social media.
