Natural Star Nani's iconic sports drama film 'Jersey' re-releases

Natural Star Nani's 'Jersey' directed by Gowtam Naidu Tinnanuri is one of the most iconic sports films. The movie is returning to the big screen. Originally released on April 19, 2019, the iconic sports film is set to captivate audiences once again.

Taking to X Daya Arjun announced the special occasion, commemorating the film's 5th anniversary with a re-release on April 20, 2024.

He wrote, "On the occasion of #JERSEY 5years anniversary. Witness the Classic Once Again BIG screen’s on Apr20 2024"

The tweet, shared on X, invited fans to relive the magic of 'Jersey' on the silver screen. Accompanied by a poster of the film, the announcement sparked anticipation and nostalgia among the fans who can revisit the gem of sports drama film on the bigger screen.

Jersey is a captivating story of a cricketer after getting failed earlier who now pursues playing cricket again in his 30s to represent the Indian team. Driven by persistence, forgiveness, and achieving the goal of his son watch him play again. Nani has a standout performance as the main character, depicting the difficulties and successes of a gifted batsman seeking respect and personal happiness.

When it first came out, the picture was well-received by viewers for its interesting plot, dramatic performances, and emotional depth. Its impact was so great that it developed a Hindi version, with Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor playing the lead part.

Alongside Nani, the movie had Shraddha Srinath, Sathyaraj, Ronit Kamra, Harish Kalyan, Viswant Duddumpudi, Shishir Sharma and Praveen in the key roles of the film.
