first-look
from the film in a video titled
Spark of Dasara
,
The actor looks completely transformed in the video, dressed in a lungi, baniyan and shirt with two bottles of liquor hanging off his waist. The video also sees him walk through
coal mines
with few others for company and light a beedi from a fire pit there. Fans are shocked to see Nani transform from a man-next-door to a rugged and rustic look. While the film’s title announcement poster had given a glimpse of this look, this avatar is going down well with fans that look forward to his performance.
With music by Santhosh Narayanan, Dasara will see cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan ISC, editing by Naveen Nooli and art direction by Avinash Kolla. Introducing his character as Dharani, Nani wrote on his social media, “Dharani from #DASARA. RAGE IS REAL. #SparkofDasara. (sic)” Talking to Hyderabad Times about his character, the actor had once said, “I believe Dasara falls in a genre that hasn’t been explored in
Tollywood
. The role too is something new for me, it’s raw and rustic. I’m even learning a specific Telangana
dialect
required for the role.” The film is believed to be set in the Singareni coal mines, further details are awaited.
