Nani, Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty wrap up shooting for Shyam Singha Roy

Nani, Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty have wrapped up shooting for Rahul Sankrithyan’s Shyam Singha Roy after resuming the last schedule post-lockdown.

The film’s team had re-commenced shooting after the second wave of coronavirus passed. Sharing the news on social media, Nani wrote, “Shoot done. With a great team comes the great outcome. Post-production begins. (sic)” He even shared a picture of him looking into a mirror, sharing a glimpse of his retro look from the film.

The filmmakers had recreated Calcutta on the outskirts of Hyderabad for the shooting with a massive set spread across 10 acres and costing Rs 6.5 Cr. Nani’s character in the film based on reincarnation is touted to be an intense one. Seeing as how Rahul’s last film, the Vijay Deverakonda starrer Taxiwaala received praise for being unique, expectations are high on his sophomore film. Rahul Ravindran also plays a key role in the film.

Shyam Singha Roy is expected to hit screens later this year. Nani also wrapped up shooting for Siva Nirvana’s Tuck Jagadish which was supposed to hit screens on April 23 but release was postponed due to the pandemic. The actor will soon commence shooting for Vivek Athreya’s Ante…Sundaraniki, which will see Nazriya Nazim Fahadh make her debut in Tollywood. Further details are awaited.
