Nani opens up about having bigger plans for the 'HIT' franchise: 'All the cops come together for something bigger'

Nani’s recent film 'HIT: The Third Case', co-starring Sunidhi Shetty, received positive reviews from audiences, with the movie grossing around Rs 101 crores globally within a few days of its release. In a recent conversation, Nani delved into the expanding world of HIT and discussed plans for its future.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Nani hinted at long-term plans, saying, “It’s already a universe in its own way. It’s a cop universe, but I was saying that we have bigger plans, and as we move forward, maybe a fifth or sixth HIT.” He went on to tease an ambitious crossover: “What if all the cops come together for something bigger, a big case? That would be very exciting for the audience.”


The actor also addressed the intense violence in HIT. Nani clarified that this wasn’t a deliberate choice from the outset. He admitted there was no initial intention to make the third instalment in the franchise an action film, but it evolved that way with the flow of the script.

The 'Hi Nanna' actor explained that the story of 'HIT 3' naturally evolved during development, shifting from the typical investigative thriller format of the previous films to a more action-driven, survival-style narrative. He also pointed out that, after following a familiar formula in the first two films, the latest chapter introduces a fresh narrative approach for audiences.

'HIT 3' earned Rs 63.40 crores in India within eight days of its release, according to Sacnilk. Meanwhile, Nani is also gearing up for his next big role in 'The Paradise' with Srikanth Odela.
