Rahul Sankrityan’s
Nani, Sai Pallavi and
Krithi Shetty starrer Shyam Singha Roy was launched today with an official puja ceremony.
While the moment was special for the whole cast and crew, it was especially special for Nani as his father Ghanta Rambabu was there to deliver the first clap for the first time in his career. Sharing a video of the memorable moment on his social media, Nani wrote, “First clap by Nanna :) #ShyamSinghaRoy Begins.” (sic) In the video, his father can be seen all smiles as he delivers the first clap.
Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty also attended the event, looking gorgeous in white. The film will be produced by Venkat S Boyanapalli under Niharika Entertainment. Shyam Singha Roy will be made on a grand scale, as the story and screenplay demands it. Nani is touted to be seen in a never-seen-before role and a sneak-peek of it during the title reveal was received well by fans. Apart from the trio,
Madonna Sebastian,
Rahul Ravindran, Murali Sharma and Abhinav Gomatam have been roped in to play important roles in the film.
The muhurtam ceremony today did not just see Nani’s dad, it also saw
Anil Ravipudi directing the muhurtam shot with the lead trio.
Merlapaka Gandhi was also present and he switched on the camera, while Shiva Nirvana and
Venky Kudumula handed over the film’s script to the makers. Story for the film has been penned by Satyadev Janga and Mickey J Meyer will be composing the music. Sanu John Varghese will be the cinematographer and Naveen Nooli the editor.
Shooting for Shyam Singha Roy will resume from this month.
