Nani and Nazriya Nazim Fahadh team up for the first time for a film with Vivek Athreya

In what is sure to be good news for South-Indian movie buffs, it has been announced that

will be directed by Vivek Athreya and will see Nani and

Nazriya Nazim Fahadh

come together for the first time on-screen.

Diwali celebrations began a little early as the announcement was made, promising a ‘musical rom-com with a fresh concept’. This is also the first time that Nani will be working with Vivek Athreya, who is known for Mental Madhilo and Brochevarevarura. #Nani28 will see Nazriya, a Malayalam star known for films like Bangalore Days and Trance, make her

debut

in Telugu cinema.

The film will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers and a poster was shared on the occasion, hinting at the film’s theme of an airplane,

curtain raiser

’ has been scheduled for November 21, when the film’s title will be announced. Excited about making her Telugu debut,

Nazriya

announced the same on social media and wrote, “Next :) So this one will be my first telugu film guys. Super excited for this one with this amazing team! Circle this date and tune in!! Happy Diwali!” (sic)


Vivek Athreya also announced the film on his social media, calling Nani and Nazriya a ‘dream combo’. He wrote, “Natural star ‘Nani’ Nazriya Mythri Movie Makers. A dream combo on cards, Excited!! This Diwali, we have a new addition to our Telugu film family, let’s welcome Nazriya Fahadh!! The ladi has been lit for the CURTAIN RAISER and its going to blast on 21 November 2020.
