Nandini Rai excited for the release of Thalapathy Vijay's Varasudu

Actress Nandini Rai was recently spotted out and about in the city, glowing after a relaxing wellness session and excited for her upcoming release.

What many don’t know is that the actress plays a key role in Vamshi Paidipally’s Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Varasudu in Telugu, which will release in Tamil as Varisu. Talking about being excited for the film’s release, she told Hyderabad Times, “I am really excited for the release of Varasudu. We have a pre-release function on December 24, fingers crossed. Thalapathy Vijay is absolute love; I look forward to the audience watching me in the film.”

Varasudu is hitting screens on January 12, facing tough competition from Chiranjeevi and Shruti Haasan starrer Waltair Veerayya apart from Balakrishna and Shruti’s Veera Simha Reddy. The film will see music by Thaman S and cinematography by Karthik Palani. The film faced controversy before release with the producers’ council deciding that first preference for screens will be given to straight Telugu releases and not dubbed ones. Tamil filmmakers released statements in support of the film.


This is Vamshi Paidipally’s new film after Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh starrer Maharshi hit screens in 2019 and was received well.
