Nandi returns

The prestigious State government sponsored Nandi awards will be presented today on the auspicious day of Ugadi.
This year the star attendance is expected to double as the pending awards for 2009 will also be given away. The annual awards show that the whole of Tollywood looks forward to was put on hold for the last two years due to a number of reasons, including political turmoil in the State.
Dasari Narayana Rao and Balakrishna will be receiving the best actor awards for ���������Mestri��������� and ���������Simha��������� respectively, while Theertha bagged the best actress award for ���������Sontha Vooru��������� and Nithya Menen for ���������Ala Modalaindi���������.
Ram Charan Tej, Srikanth and Genelia bagged Special Jury Awards 2009 for their performances in ���������Magadheera���������, ���������Mahatma��������� and ���������Katha���������, while Samantha, Sunil and Manoj bagged the same award for 2010 for their performance in ���������Ye Maya Chesave���������, ���������Maryada Ramanna��������� and ���������Vedam��������� respectively.
���������Sontha Vooru��������� and ���������Vedam��������� were adjudged the best films and directors SS Rajamouli and P Sunil Kumar Reddy won the top awards for 2009 and 2010 respectively.
