According to the Gulte report, 'Akhanda 2' was involved in a legal and financial dispute between its production house, 14 Reels Plus, and Eros. After the matter was presented before the court, it stayed the release of the movie. Now, as per the report, the issue has been resolved, and the
Madras High Court has cleared the release of the movie. Now, it is set to hit theaters on December 12, 2025.

The film is a sequel to the 2021 hit 'Akhanda'. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, the film is expected to do wonders at the box office. The movie also features Samyuktha Menon, Shamna Kasim, Saswata Chatterjee, Aadhi Pinisetty, Kabir Duhan Singh, and Harshaali Malhotra, among others. S Thaman has composed the music for the film.
The sequel was confirmed in 2024, after the massive success of the first installment. In the second part, NBK will be back as Akhanda Rudra Sikandar Aghora and Murali Krishna. Aadhi Pinishetty will be portraying the role of an antagonist in the movie, while Samyuktha Menon has been roped in as the female lead.
