Nandamuri Balakrishna remembered Bappi Lahiri after the legendary music composer’s sudden demise on February 16. The music director was 69. Balakrishna paid a tribute to the late music director who passed away due to complications from lung disease, saying his untimely death was shocking.
“The ‘Akhanda’ star has taken to his social media and released a note condoling the sudden demise of the veteran musician Bappi Lahiri. He wrote, “I was shocked by this sad news of Bappida’s sudden demise. He has composed music for my superhit films such as ‘Rowdy Inspector’ and ‘Nippu Ravva’. His sudden death is very sad news to all of us and may his pure soul rest in eternal peace – N. Balakrishna”.
Bappi Lahiri composed music for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s films ‘Rowdy inspector’ and ‘Nippu Ravva’, which were chartbuster hits. The song “Are O Sambha” from ‘Rowdy inspector’ has been reamed by his nephew Nandamuri Kalyanram recently in the film Patas. The song “Takkutamara Bandi” from “Rowdy Inspector” is also played in popular Telugu music channels even today and will continue to play due to its catchy tune.
