Namrata Shirodkar's birthday wish for sister Shilpa: 'Rooting for you to come home with the trophy’

Actress Shilpa Shirodkar is turning a year older today, November 20, Wednesday, and her charming sissy Namrata Shirodkar has penned a heartwarming birthday note for her adorable sister.


Taking to her official Instagram handle, Namrata shared a video compilation of their moments together and penned a note that read, “Happy Birthday to the bestest sister in the world @shilpashirodkar73.”


Later Namrata wrote that she is watching her sister Shilpa shine on Big Boss 18 and also wished her all the best, expecting her to win the trophy.


Namrata further wrote, “am watching you everyday on #BiggBoss18 and you are rocking it!!! Rooting for you to come home with the trophy.”


In an old interview with Rediff, Namrata opened up about her close bond with her sister Shilpa. Namrata said that she is unsure whether she will be able to match the success of her sister in her film career.


Namrata also shared that apart from having a sibling bond, both of them act like the best friends out there and the same is evident in the birthday special video compilation shared by the ‘Kachche Dhaage’ actress.


On the professional front, Shilpa made her acting debut with the 1989 film ‘Bhrashtachar’ which was directed by Ramesh Sippy.


Coming to Namrata’s film career, after being crowned Miss India in 1993, she did some remarkable performances in the superhit films such as ‘Pukar’, ‘Astitva’, ‘Vaastav” The Reality’ and many more.


Meanwhile, Namrata’s previous outing was with the film ‘Adharm’ which was directed by Adeep Singh, starring Rahul Dev, Anupam Kher, Sonali Kulkarni and many others in the lead.
