Tamil star
Karthi was never keen to be a part of multi-starrers, unless the film had an extremely amazing story. I have always maintained that I do not want to do multi-starrers. I was determined not to do one, unless a film like, say, Sivaputrudu came along, where there were two lead characters in the film. And Oopiri was one such story for me. But added to that, I said yes to the film because I would get to work with Nagarjuna.
He looks younger than me in this film, says the actor who is all praise for the Telugu star.
I observed him during the films shoot and found him to be a meticulous worker. He is very regular with his workouts and maintains a strict diet. His schedule is disciplined he goes to bed early and wakes up early. But then, his positive attitude is also a reason he is physically fit. A happy mind means a healthy body, isnt it?, he says, adding, He is very relaxed on the set. Until now, I have only heard about the live in the moment attitude, but I got to see that in him. It was great working with him.
Oopiri, the remake of French film The Intouchables, sees Nagarjuna play a rich quadriplegic and Karthi as his caretaker.
