Naga Chaitanya reveals how speaking Telugu deepens his bond with Sobhita Dhulipala

Actor Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala got married in a private yet grand Telugu wedding on December 4th at the famous Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Recently, the 'Dhoota' actor opened up about the beginnings of their relationship and the qualities that drew him to Sobhita.

Speaking with The New York Times, Naga Chaitanya mentioned that he often encourages Sobhita to speak Telugu with him as he wants to improve his fluency in the language. Although he was born in Hyderabad, Chaitanya spent most of his childhood in Chennai, where he also learned Tamil.

The newlywed actor said that after Telugu it creates a warmth that brings them closer. He mentioned that in the film industry, they often meet people from different linguistic backgrounds however listening to the same Telugu texture with warmth to someone drew him closer to Sobhita. He said, "I keep telling her to keep talking to me in Telugu so I can improve."

The actor also said, "With actors, sometimes we are trying to put something out there about our films or something about a product- most of it is staged in a way. So when something pops up that's very organic and real about a person, I immediately gravitate to that kind of content."

Their wedding was a blend of traditional Telugu customs and modern celebrations. Sobhita wore a stunning gold Kanjivaram silk saree adorned with real gold zari, while Chaitanya complemented her look in a traditional white outfit. The couple's wedding ceremony included various rituals of their cultural heritage.

On the work front, Naga Chaitanya will be seen on the big screens with his upcoming adventure drama film, 'Thandel' in which he will be starring alongside Sai Pallavi. The film is announced to be released on February 7th, 2025.

Further on his recent birthday, his upcoming project will be a mythical thriller, tentatively titled, 'NC24' was also announced and directed by Karthik Varma Dandu.
