After playing a ruthless cop in films like
Sivamani and Officer, actor Nagarjuna is all set to don the uniform again for his upcoming crime-thriller. However, this time, Nag won’t be wearing khakhi as he is playing a trigger-happy NIA officer in the film titled, Wild Dog. To be directed by debutante Ahishor Solomon, the film features Nag as ACP
Vijay Varma aka Wild Dog, a ruthless officer who has a penchant for encounter killings.
“Solomon had written the story of Oopiri and I’m happy to team up with him again. He’s come up with a good story and I’m excited to be a part of this project,” shares Nagarjuna. The first look from the film was unveiled recently, and it shows a picture of Nag in a newspaper clipping with the headline: ‘Encounter in City: 6 Dead Police or Wild Dog?’ (sic) “ACP Vijay Varma aka Wild Dog has conducted another operation at Zora House in a bustling, crowded marked of Hyderabad City, after a secret investigation enquiry resulted in the death of one police officer. Vijay Varma swung into action with his crack team and swooped upon the said Zora House and after smoking out six terrorists, he shot and killed them in broad daylight. It is these previous actions that led to the press nicknaming him as Wild Dog,” the news article reads. Nagarjuna, says the film will unleash a hitherto unseen side of him onscreen. “I can’t reveal much about the plot at the moment but I can assure you it’s an intense character and the film is on a relevant and important subject. It will portray me in a new avatar, that’s for sure,” he adds.
