Tollywood actor Maanas, who was last seen in Malluri Haribabu’s Soda Goli Soda in 2018, is gearing up for his upcoming film 5Ws. He is all excited about the film and says they are ready with the material.
Speaking to ETimes, he said, ''Shooting of 5Ws has been wrapped up recently, and it is in post-production phase right now. It is a fascinating female-centric crime thriller.
I play a character called Arun and it has negative shades.''
After a couple of releases that failed to make a mark at the Tollywood box-office, Maanas is hopeful that 5Ws, which is directed by Prandeep Thakore, will be a game-changer in his career. 5Ws, which represents Who, What, When, Where & Why will see Paayal Rajput as a cop. Swara Sagar Mahathi has been roped in to score the tunes.
''Paayal Rajput is my co-star in the film. The audience will be impressed by Paayal’s performance as a cop, and they will love us after watching the film. It’s always a pleasure working with her. She’s professional and a fantastic actor,'' says Maanas, who is all praise for his co-star Paayal.
Maanas also has Ksheera Sagara Madhanam in his kitty. Debutant
Anil Panguluri is wielding the megaphone for this venture. Akshita Sonavane is the leading lady of the movie. Sanjay Rao, s/o Brahmaji has been roped in to play a crucial role. The technical crew of this film comprises Ajay Arasada for music and Santhosh for cinematography. The film is bankrolled by Art & Heart Creations.
Talking about the film, he says, ''It’s an anthology film which comprises five different stories set against the backdrop of various terrains, woven together beautifully. I will be seen playing the role of a cab driver Rishi who’s always angry at people around him. I can affirm that this is a first-of-its-kind attempt in Telugu cinema. From the cast to the technical crew, we ensured that every person was the right fit.''
“It’s not just entertainment; there are a lot of emotions too. It’s a compelling story and will be a real treat for the audience. Unfortunately, the film got delayed because of Coronavirus scare. And that pushed everything back,” the actor explains, adding, he had no clue about the release date also.
