Music director Satya Kashyap on the success of 'Bharateeyans' and 'Natho Nenu': It was an exhilarating experience - Exclusive!
Congratulations on the success of the music of both 'Bharateeyans' and 'Natho Nenu'! Tell us about your experience composing music for these two films?
Thank you! It was an exhilarating experience to work with both 'Bharateeyans' and 'Natho Nenu.' For 'Bharateeyans,' a patriotic family drama, I aimed to capture the essence of love, family, action, and patriotism through my music. It was like orchestrating a slow dance amidst a fireworks show—challenging but rewarding. 'Natho Nenu,' on the other hand, is a hilarious and introspective joyride. Director Shanthi Kumar's vision provided a diverse canvas for me to explore various genres while ensuring each emotion found its rightful place.
'Chinnari Thalli' from 'Bharateeyans' has become immensely popular among music lovers. What inspired you while composing this melodious song, and did you expect such a tremendous response from the audience?
Crafting 'Chinnari Thalli' was an immense responsibility, but the inspiration came from an unexpected source: the chirp of a bird during the morning hours. It was a magical moment, and I poured my heart and soul into the song. The overwhelming response from the audience was beyond my expectations, and I am deeply grateful for the love they have shown.
You composed music for both the Hindi and Telugu versions of 'Bharateeyans.' How did you adapt your compositions to suit the linguistic and cultural nuances of both audiences?
'Natho Nenu' explores various emotions and situations. How did you approach the musical aspect of this movie to complement its comedy and introspective moments?
Director Santhi Kumar armed me with a vision, screenplay, story, and lyrics, providing the full banquet. My task was to ensure that each emotion found its rightful place at the feast. Just like seasoning complements the main course, I sought to enhance the film's narrative with music that complements its comedic and introspective moments.
Among the four songs in 'Natho Nenu,' do you have a personal favorite, and if so, what makes that particular song special to you?
Working with different directors like Deena Raj for 'Bharateeyans' and Santhi Kumar Turlapati for 'Natho Nenu,' how did their individual styles and visions influence your music compositions?
Deena Raj's style led me towards classic tunes for 'Bharateeyans,' while Santhi Kumar's vision in 'Natho Nenu' allowed me to explore various genres. Each director's unique approach shaped my music in distinct ways, enriching my own musical journey.
As a music director, what do you consider the most rewarding aspect of your job? Is there a particular moment or project that stands out as a highlight in your career?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is creating music that evokes emotions and connects with the audience on a deeper level. When they laugh, cry, or dance to my tunes, I know I have done my job well. Every project is special, but the success of 'Bharateeyans' and 'Natho Nenu' holds a special place in my heart.
Could you provide information about any collaborations between the talented singers Vishal Mishra and Anurag Kulkarni?
When Vishal Mishra and Anurag Kulkarni joined forces, it was musical magic in the making! Their collaboration resulted in unforgettable tunes that have audiences dancing and humming non-stop. These legendary singers truly complemented each other's strengths and created a musical masterpiece.
With the success of both 'Bharateeyans' and 'Natho Nenu,' what can we expect from you in the future? Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations that you're excited about?
