Despite the actor's star power, the film has garnered only Rs 7.2 crore over its first three days, according to early estimates by the Sacnilk website. The film, which released on August 15, 2024, has been met with disappointing numbers.

On its first two days, Mr. Bachchan earned an estimated Rs 6.35 crore India net, and the trend continued downward on Day 3, with the film collecting just Rs 85 lakhs India net. The total domestic gross now stands at Rs 8.25 crores, with an additional Rs 2 crores from overseas markets.

The film's occupancy rates reflect the struggle at the box office. On Saturday, August 17, 2024, the Telugu-language action thriller had an overall occupancy of 18.25%. The morning shows saw a low turnout with just 11.50% occupancy, while the afternoon and evening shows showed slight improvement with 18.79% and 19.63%, respectively. The night shows saw the highest occupancy at 23.09%, but even this peak was not enough to significantly boost the film's earnings.

‘Mr. Bachchan’ is an official remake of the 2018 Hindi film 'Raid 'and is inspired by a real-life income tax raid on Indian industrialist Sardar Inder Singh. The film stars Ravi Teja in the titular role, with Bhagyashri Borse and Jagapathi Babu in supporting roles. Despite the intriguing premise, the film was met with negative reviews from critics and even from hardcore Ravi Teja fans.
