Megastar Chiranjeevi will be next seen in the upcoming family entertainer ‘Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu’. While fans are buzzing for the upcoming movie, recent reports suggest that the Tollywood veteran has started talks for another project, which is tentatively named ‘Mega158’.
As per Telugu Chitralu, Chiranjeevi will be working on another upcoming movie, ‘Mega158’ and it is said that the film will be officially launched in February 2026. After the launch event, the shoot of the film is expected to begin in March 2026. Earlier, the makers planned to launch the film on January 18. But that plan changed due to Chiranjeevi’s knee surgery and recovery. Now, February looks more comfortable for the team.
Music and casting talk around the film
There is also talk about music for ‘Mega158’. It is suggested that musical genius AR Rahman may compose the score after he completes work on Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’. This is only talk for now. No official word has come yet. There were also rumours that Mohanlal may play an important role in the film. If this happens, it will be the first time Chiranjeevi and Mohanlal share the screen. Details about the cast are still kept under wraps.

The film is touted to be a family entertainer, which will star Nayanthara as the female lead and includes Venkatesh Daggubati in a special cameo role. The film stars Chiranjeevi as a former National Intelligence Agency (NIA) officer and Nayanthara playing the role of Sasirekha, who comes from a rich background. The film will be released on January 12, 2026.
