After making a stellar debut with Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, director
Swaroop RSJ is back to tell another quirky tale. Harsh Roshan, Bhanuprakash and Jayateertha play Raghupathi, Raghava and Rajaram respectively, as they head on a ‘mishan’ to hunt down the dreaded gangster Dawood Ibrahim.
“All the film references you see are courtesy of Raghupathi. He’s the leader of the group, the one everyone follows.
A film buff, he wants to be a director. He’s very dramatic and everything he does revolves around his love for cinema,” explains Swaroop, adding, “Then there’s Raghava. The one who’s so overconfident, he believes the right spelling of ‘barber’ is ‘barbar’. He thinks he’s the smartest one in town. Rajaram is the youngest and the most innocent one of the lot. He harbours dreams of being known as the fastest bowler in India one day.”
While the trio head this tale, Taapsee Pannu plays a journalist called Shailaja. “She’s not the usual, clichéd journo you often see on-screen. She’s crazy in her own way and in touch with her inner child.
Ravindra Vijay plays Vikram; you’ll know when you see the film as to why he teams up with this reporter. As for
Rishab Shetty and Hareesh Peradi, you’ll have to wait and watch how they fit into this story,” explains the director.
Swaroop says each character will have a key role to play in taking the story forward. “I believe my debut film worked because I stayed honest to the script and characters, which is what I did this time around too,” he adds.
