Her debut film was as a child artist and in Sivaji Ganesan and Lakshmi starrer Nenjangal. She made her debut as a leading lady in K Aditya's ''Navayugam'', also starring Rajendra Prasad and Vinod Kumar. She is popularly known for her films like Seetharamayya Gari Manavaralu, Chanti, Allari Mogudu, Sundarakanda, President Gari Pellam, Abbaigaru, Muthu and to name a few.
