Meeku Maatrame Cheptha Movie Review highlights: An entertaining ride so far

Tharun Bhascker's debut as a lead, Shammeer Sultan's Meeku Maatrame Cheptha hit the screens today.

The first half of the story follows in the same vein as the trailer, telling the story of a man trying to curb a leaked video. Tharun plays Rakesh, the man whose video gets leaked. He loves Stephy and proposes marriage. Stephy is a strict woman and a doctor by profession who wants Rakesh to be nothing less than perfect. But what happens when incriminating footage comes out two days before his wedding?

Tharun Bhascker delivers an earnest performance as Rakesh while Abhinav Gomatam does a stupendous job as his friend. The film lags a bit right before the interval and it remains to be seen how the second half will fare.
