The much-awaited trailer of Power Star
Pawan Kalyan's long-delayed pan-India period action drama 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' is all set to launch today. With such high excitement among the fans, the trailer is set to release on multiple big screens. However, screening at a specific theatre is reportedly cancelled.
According to a report by 123Telugu, ahead of the grand trailer reveal, a massive crowd of fans swarmed the iconic Sandhya Theater at RTC X Roads in Hyderabad yesterday to collect their entry passes for the trailer screening event. The buzz surrounding the event was so intense that it led to an uncontrollable gathering, forcing authorities to step in.
With the situation quickly escalating, police were called in to manage the crowd and prevent any potential mishaps. In light of the overwhelming turnout and keeping in mind public safety, especially in the aftermath of the recent 'Pushpa 2' stampede tragedy, the theatre management decided to call off the trailer screening at their venue.
The trailer screening will still take place at selected screens across Hyderabad as originally planned, ensuring that fans get a chance to experience the much-hyped glimpse of 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' in theatres, just not at the Sandhya Theatre.
For the unversed, the 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' stampede incident occurred on the night of December 4, 2024, outside Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the film's premiere, where Telugu superstar
Allu Arjun was present to watch the screening with fans. The sudden arrival of Allu Arjun led a massive surge of frenzied fans, leading to a chaotic, stampede-like situation around the RTC Cross Roads. Tragically, a 35-year-old woman named Revathi, who had come with her husband and two children, was crushed in the crowd and later declared dead at the hospital. Her eight-year-old son, Sri Teja, was critically injured.
Directed by
Krish Jagarlamudi, 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 - Sword vs Spirit' is one of the most ambitious projects in Pawan Kalyan's career. The film features Nidhhi Agerwal as the leading lady, while Bollywood star
Bobby Deol plays the formidable Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
The pan-India film will be released on July 26.
