Manchu Vishnu's latest release faced the brunt of public ire on Wednesday. Brahmin associations targeted theaters screening the movie. A mob of slogan-chanting protesters forcibly stalled the screening of the film at Sushma theatre in Vanasthalipuram in the afternoon.
Simultaneously, protests broke out outside Sridevi theatre in Chandanagar, BHEL and protesters pelted stones at the theatre.
'We will not tolerate being made fun of anymore. We demand an apology from the filmmakers and demand a ban on the film,' Dronamraju Ravi Kumar, President AP Brahmana Seva Sangha Samakhya (APBSSS) said.
