Sharwanand and Mehreen Pirzada
in the lead. The film proved to be a box office success and the fans gave the film a thundering response. The fans and film audiences loved the sizzling chemistry between the film's leading pair.
''Mahanubhavudu'' revolves around a young man Anand, who suffers from obsessive-compulsive personality disorder falls in love with his colleague, Meghana faces a dilemma after his fixation comes in the way of having a normal relationship. How Anand overcomes his obsession for cleanliness and wins back Meghana's heart forms the crux of the story. The film marked Sharwanand and Mehreen’s first project together.
''Mahanubhavudu'' also starred Vennela Kishore, Nassar, Kalyani Natarajan, Bhadram, Himaja, Raghu Babu and Rajitha in significant roles. Besides impressive acting performances by the cast, a breezy soundtrack by composer S Thaman and lyrics by Krishna Kanth, Bhaskarbatla and Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry, the film is remembered for showcasing picturesque locales in Europe, Pollachi and various beautiful locations of Andhra Pradesh.

On the work front, Sharwanand was last seen in the Telugu remake of Tamil hit film 96, Jaanu. He will next be seen in Kishore Reddy's Sreekaram, co-starring Priyanka Arul Mohan.
