Makers of 'Kalki 2898 AD' drop official glimpse of Vijay Deverakonda as 'Arjuna'; fans react - See post

Prabhas starrer 'Kalki 2898AD' gave fans and audiences a jaw-dropping experience with promising VFX and fight scenes. Adding to this, the movie was also noted for unique cameo appearances by Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda, SS Rajamouli, and Ram Gopal Varma. Now, the makers have revealed the official poster for Vijay Deverakonda’s character, Arjuna, from the movie.

On July 4, the makers of 'Kalki 2898AD' took to their official Instagram account to drop a poster of Deverakonda, where he looks stunning and surreal as Arjuna from the epic Mahabharata. He was on the battlefield against Ashwatthama (mythological character played by Amitabh Bachchan) and aiming at him with his bow and arrow. The look and his voice modulation had already won social media and fans after the film's release on June 27.


One of the Instagram users chose this character over 'Arjun Reddy' and wrote, “Arjun Reddy ❌ Lord Arjuna ✅”. Another fan wrote, “I think Arjuna's character is perfect since Vijay Devarakonda ..... Arjuna's attitude and Vijay Devarakonda's attitude are a perfect match.” Finally, one reacted, “VD as Arjuna �� He is so good.”

Directed by Nag Ashwin, 'Kalki 2898AD’ also features Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan in key roles. Vijay Deverakonda’s career in the industry faced a small dip as his last movie 'Family Star' alongside Mrunal Thakkur did not perform well at the box office. The actor remained silent and did not appear in public places that often. He is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film tentatively titled ‘#VD15’, directed by Ravi Kiran Kola. Vijay teams up for the second time with director Rahul Sankrityan for his upcoming film ‘VD14’.
