Mahi V Raghav calls NTR and YSR 'sons of soil' ahead of 'Yatra' release

After delivering a horror comedy like ‘Anando Brahma’, Mahi V Raghav switched tracks and is all set to deliver a YSR biopic titled ‘Yatra’ come Friday.
What with Krish and Balakrishna’s NTR biopics – Kathanayakudu and Mahanayakudu – in the news too, especially with ‘NTR: Mahanayakudu’ slated for release later this month, the director released a note about both the late Chief Ministers of a united Andhra Pradesh, NTR and YSR, calling them ‘sons of this soil’.Urging fans not to quantify his film or turn it into a race, he wrote, “Our entire team gave their best. Lets not quantify it or make it a race; let it be a celebration to rejoice and cherish this journey.” (sic)
Talking about both the ex-leaders, he wrote, “Both NTR garu and YSR garu are the son’s of this soil and proud Telugu legends who left behind a glorious legacy. Let our difference of opinion and disagreements not be a reason for disrespecting them.” (sic) He also added that he’s curious to see how his film will be received by the audience and welcomed criticism for the same.
‘Yatra’, which releases on February 8 and sees its US premiere on February 7 brings to life the famous the leader took upon during his election campaign.
