It's been a heady three weeks for
Mahesh Babu since the release of Srimanthudu. Besides proving to be a game changer in Telugu cinema, the film has also come to redefine Mahesh Babu's status as a Tollywood superstar and a Good Samaritan as he is set to adopt a village each from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. 'The film's success is still sinking in. The film has given me immense respect from people across the spectrum and has made me more human,' says the actor, who has taken off on a family vacation to Ko Samui, Thailand to 'celebrate his son, Gautam's 9th birthday on August 31.
'It's double celebration time for the entire family, Srimanthudu's success and Gautam's birthday. Mahesh now has a week off before he resumes shooting for his next film Brahmotsavam, and he suggested we get away to Ko Samui for some family time. Both Mahesh and Gautam love beach-side so we're going to be spending a lot of time on the seaside and playing water sports,' shares Namrata.
Mahesh will start shooting for his next film Brahmotsavam from second week of September. 'The success of Srimanthudu has taught me that good content if packaged well, can strike a chord with the audiece. Director Srikanth Addala has come up with a touching script for Brahmotsavam and I'm hopeful that the film will appeal to everyone,' adds Mahesh.
What's more? The actor has raised the bar for himself with Srimanthudu on the home front as well, going by the number of times Namrata saw the film. 'I saw Srimanthudu seven times. I've never seen any movie so many times. Even Gautam watched it three times,' shares Namrata.
Srimanthudu, jointly produced by Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar and CV Mohan under Mythri Movie Makers banner, is running in theatres.
