, is close to the Ghattamaneni family as she was often seen in films featuring Krishna. Wishing her on her birthday, Mahesh Babu wrote, “Happy birthday @vijayashanthi_mgaru! Wishing you all the joy, peace and great health always! (sic)”

The Osey Ramulamma actress recently made her comeback to the silver screen after 13 years with his film directed by Anil Ravipudi. She was last seen in Nayudamma before that, which hit screens in 2006. While it’s her first film with Mahesh as a lead, the duo previously acted together in the 1989 film

Talking about her in one of his interviews, Mahesh had once said, “Nothing has changed in Vijayashanti garu in these 30 years. She was always disciplined, committed to her work and she’s still the same. It’s a great feeling to see her on-sets again and it’s been a learning experience to work with her.”
