Mahesh Babu took no pay for Takkari Donga, says director Jayanth

“Super Star Mahesh Babu did not take a single penny for ‘Takkari Donga' after the film failed badly. Yet, every time we meet, he asks me to come up with another script for him. That is the confidence he has in me,” said director Jayanth C Paranji who is ready with his next offering ‘Jayadev’, a cop-drama.
Speaking about some of the top heroes he had worked with in the past, Jayanth recalled the above episode of Mahesh Babu.'Takkari Donga' was a double disaster for me as I happened to be both the producer and director of that film. Owing to certain mistakes, success eluded us then. But then I have seen both sides of the coin in the industry,” said the versatile director. Speaking about his forthcoming film ‘Jayadev’, he says that he is positive the movie would put him back on the success track.
