Mahesh Babu-starrer ‘Maharshi’ to have this yesteryear actress in a leading role

Mahesh Babu may be 43, but he is completely convincing playing the role of a bachelor and college-goer, Rishi in his upcoming film directed by Vamshi Paidipally. His stylish new avatar in the film's teaser has been the talk of the town.
Meanwhile, yesteryear actress, Jayaprada who has won a lot of appreciation for her roles in films such as ‘Anthuleni Katha’, ‘Seeta Kalyanam’, ‘Adavi Ramudu’, ‘Kurukshetram’, ‘Yamagola’ and ‘Agent Gopi’ to name a few, will reportedly play a leading role in this film. She will reportedly be seen essaying Mahesh Babu's mother in the family entertainer.
Sources close to the film's unit reportedly said that one of the highlights of ‘Maharshi’ will be the effortless chemistry between Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde. The leading lady made her Tollywood debut with 2014’s ‘Mukunda’ alongside Varun Tej and followed it up with a couple of bigger films such as ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’ and ‘Saakshyam’.
Bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Movies in association with Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema, ‘Maharshi’ will hit theatres on April 9, 2019.
