Mahesh Babu dubs Telugu trailer of 'Mufasa: The Lion King' drops; Fans celebrate his powerful voice

Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu is making a grand debut into the world of Disney, lending his voice to the iconic character of Mufasa in the Telugu dub version of the upcoming animated film, 'Mufasa: The Lion King'. The official trailer for the Telugu dub has been released and is creating a buzz among fans. The film, set to hit theatres on December 20th, 2024, will be the backstory of Mufasa, the beloved king of the jungle from the classic 'The Lion King'.

Mahesh Babu took to social media to share the trailer, expressing his excitement about being part of such a legendary project. He wrote "A new dimension to the character we know and love! Extremely excited to be the voice of Mufasa in Telugu and having been a massive fan of the classic, this is a special one for me! Long live the king"

Fans have responded with overwhelming enthusiasm, flooding the comment section with praise. Many highlighted how Mahesh Babu’s powerful voice looks to the character, with some playfully referring to him as the real "king" of Tollywood.

The Telugu version also features well-known actors Brahmanandam as Pumbaa and Ali as Timon.

In addition to the Telugu dub, the Hindi version of the film will feature Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the voice of Mufasa, with his sons Aryan Khan and AbRam Khan lending their voices to Simba and young Mufasa, respectively.
