Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli's 'SSMB29' to kickstart with a pooja ceremony on THIS date: reports

Superstar Mahesh Babu and ace director SS Rajamouli are working on the upcoming globetrotter adventure film, tentatively titled 'SSMB29'. The project has been highly anticipated since its announcement, and recent reports suggest the makers to officially launch the film.

As per a Gulte report, a special Pooja ceremony is scheduled for January 2, 2025, marking the beginning of the film. Reports indicate that the launch will be a simple yet significant event. Mahesh Babu is known for typically avoiding such ceremonies, so it will be interesting to see his participation in this occasion.

The film is expected to begin shooting in the first quarter of 2025 and will likely be in production for an extended period, consistent with Rajamouli's previous films.

Only Mahesh Babu has been officially announced as the cast member of the film. However, recent reports suggest that Priyanka Chopra will join the team playing the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu and Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran will play the main negative character. However, this is yet to be officially announced by the makers.

'SSMB29' is being described as a global adventure film, with Mahesh Babu reportedly portraying a character inspired by Lord Hanuman from Hindu mythology. The film is expected to captivate audiences at an international scale with its grand storytelling and visuals as Rajamouli is known for his epic cinema.

This collaboration marks the first time Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli have worked together, raising expectations for a cinematic experience. With a speculated budget of around Rs 1000 crores, 'SSMB29' is poised to be one of the biggest projects in Indian cinema.
