50 days
of run in the theatres.
According to its makers, the film breached into the Rs 40 crore club. On the occasion of the celebrations day, director Nag Ashwin has heaped praise on Samantha for her path-breaking performance in the film.
Talking about the film and Samantha’s performance, Nag Ashwin said, “Samantha wasn't competing with Keerthy...she was fighting for screen time with the legend of Savitri garu...and she pulled it off like No Other actress of our time could. Period. She was the first one to come onboard, just out of pure love for cinema and Savitri garu...this is on the first day of the shoot, on the bus, where she had to do a full page monologue with a stutter.
