Vijay’s first-look from the film which comes with the tagline ‘Saala
Crossbreed
’ released on Monday and fans couldn’t help but go gaga over his wild look. In the poster, the actor can be seen with wild, unruly hair and boxing gloves on. Liger is an animal that’s a mixed breed of lion and tiger and the film’s story seems to hint that Vijay’s character will be of mixed heritage.
Sharing the first-look, Vijay wrote on his social media, “Humbly announcing our arrival Pan India! Someone with my background shouldn’t have reached anywhere near here according to the conventions & set Norms. But with sheer madness, passion, hardwork, Here we are! Nation wide madness Guaranteed. With the pan-Indian project Liger, which will be produced by Charmee and
Karan Johar, Vijay will be making his debut in
Bollywood
while Ananya Panday will make her debut down South. The actioner is produced by Puri Connects and Dharma Productions, so expectations are high on this one.
In his last film iSmart Shankar,
Puri Jagannadh had shown Ram Pothineni in a whole new avatar that was a deviance from his usual boy-next-door roles. Fans expect the same for Vijay Deverakonda in this film. Ramya Krishnan will play a key role in the film that will be made in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. The film will see cinematography by Vishnu Sharma. The music composer is yet to be announced. Apart from the lead pair and Ramya Krishnan, the film will see Ronit Roy, Vishu Reddy, Aali, Makarand Desh Pandey and Getup Srinu.
Shooting for the film was in progress in Mumbai before the pandemic with pictures of the lead pair on a bike and a boat leaking online and getting fans excited. However, it is yet to be picked up after the lockdown and it remains to be seen when shooting will resume and the film will hit screens. Further details are awaited.
